Dave is a staff software engineer for Element, leading the development of VoIP in Element and the MatrixRTC real time voice and video framework. He is also on the Matrix spec core team which defines the Matrix protocol. His background is in creating real time comms apps on both server and client as well as writing C++ for media stacks. Matrix allows him to pursue his passion for open source, driving forward open standards for real time communication.
